Alex Bird is currently a Portal Specialist within Goldman’s Global Liquidity business and has over 20 years of experience in the cash management space. Alex started his career at GSAM in 1998 in Chicago and held multiple roles in the Chicago, San Francisco, and London offices focused on Goldman’s institutional cash clients. Between 2007 and 2017 Alex worked at Barclay’s Global Investors, JPMorgan, and a FinTech Company called LMX. Alex also spent five years at State Street Bank leading sales for their proprietary money market fund trading platform Fund Connect®. Alex holds a BS from Northwestern University.

Matt manages a team of institutional sales representatives in US Liquidity Sales. Previously, he was a Regional Director responsible for providing sales coverage to bank intermediaries and hedge funds in New York. Prior to that, he managed the Midwest Region for the Corporate Cash team from 2002 to 2007. Matt joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as an Associate and was named Managing Director in 2013. Matt earned a BS in Accounting from Indiana University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Patrick O'Callaghan

Global Head of Client Portfolio Management, Goldman Sachs Asset Management

Pat is the Global Head of Client Portfolio Management with the Liquidity Solutions team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). He and his team work with GSAM’s third party, corporate, hedge fund, institutional and private wealth management teams, and their clients, across the globe to assist them with their liquidity management needs.

Prior to becoming Client Portfolio Manager, Pat was a senior portfolio manager with the Liquidity Solutions team and was responsible for the investing and risk management functions for all of GSAM’s tax exempt and taxable US Dollar money market portfolios and separately managed accounts.

Pat is also a member of the Investment Strategy Committee. He joined GSAM in July of 1997 as a member of the Liquidity Solutions Team. Pat started his career with Goldman Sachs in 1995 as an analyst for Goldman’s Short-term Interest Rate Trading and Sales Desks. Pat received a B.B.A. in Finance from Hofstra University, and received his M.B.A. from Fordham University.

Thomas Murphy (Murf) joined Clearwater Analytics in 2017 in Investment Management Enterprise Solutions. Prior to joining Clearwater, Murf was the global head of derivative sales at Bloomberg. Murf held multiple roles on both the buy-side (Portfolio Manager Global Macro) and sell-side (Proprietary Trader), the last as the managing partner of the hedge fund, Sundance Cap.

Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in finance and accounting from Columbia Business School.
