Ronald McDonald House Boise
“Employees from Clearwater’s HR teams volunteered at the local Ronald McDonald House that serves families with seriously ill or injured children being treated at a Boise area medical facility. At the House, families have a warm, comfortable place to sleep, eat, and find support, care, understanding and compassion from staff, volunteers and other families staying at the House. The house can support up to 49 families at a time, and the families can stay as long as they require. There are many families from all over Idaho that utilize the Ronald McDonald house.
Recently, seven Clearwater employees from the HR team visited the Ronald McDonald House to participate in their ‘Help Around the House” shift and helped clean the common areas from top to bottom – sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, organizing. Also, the team helped with a project to prep the outdoor picnic tables so the families could enjoy the outdoors.
When I learned about this organization, I was moved by what they do to support families in need. As a mother of two young children, I can only imagine the type of stress that families go through when faced with a medical obstacle and I want to support organizations that are driven to assist the children and their families in a time of need. When I could leverage volunteer time off and make it a team activity, it was a win-win situation!”
